Graduate School’s Three-Minute Thesis Competition to be Exclusively Virtual; Registration Deadline Oct. 12

The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) Graduate School’s annual Three-Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition will be held as an exclusively online event, and still scheduled for Nov. 4-6 from 2-5 p.m. Submissions from active USM master’s, specialist and doctoral degree candidates will be accepted for the competition through Monday, Oct. 12 at 8 a.m. at https://forms.usm.edu/graduate-school/view.php?id=142889.

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition is a communication skills development event where graduate students explain the significance of their research project to a general audience in three minutes or less, while also providing an opportunity for these students to develop communication skills, showcase their research, establish collaborations and networks and compete for monetary awards.

Up to eight finalists in the competition will be awarded $250, with the Grand Champion earning an additional $1,000.
