Research Interest

Dr. Lemacks’ current research activities include implementing health behavior change and nutrition education interventions to decrease preventable chronic disease and health disparities in underserved populations in the South. Her work includes utilizing mobile technology and community-based (i.e. churches) and primary care health clinic settings to facilitate program delivery.

Other areas of research interest include community-based participatory research, health disparities, obesity, RD Counseling, micronutrient (Calcuim), dairy food (including conventional versus grass-fed)
