Mississippi Moments, an award winning weekly radio program airing on Mississippi Public Broadcasting, is a partnership between the Center for Oral History and Cultural Heritage, the Mississippi Humanities Council and MPB. Since February 2005, we have meticulously combed through our vast collection of over 4,000 interviews to find interesting and significant stories. The topics covered are as diverse as our people: from Civil Rights to veterans stories, from politics to UFOs, from share croppers to astrophysicists.
Hosted by Bill Eillison the format has evolved to be unique as well. Each episode ranges in length from five to fifteen minutes. A 90 second except airs every Monday through Friday at 12:31PM on MPB Think Radio and the entire program is available as a podcast at http://www.mississippimoments.org , through iTunes or our Facebook page.
