School of Performing and Visual Arts

The 9 Days of Revelry

What is Revelry?

A is multi-week, multi-arts event celebrating the artistic work of faculty and students in the School of Performing and Visual Arts which boasts over 40 events. Revelry dedicates nine days to special programming of artistic and creative activities, including master classes, workshops, guest and visiting artists, family-friendly events, and formal productions.

This has been an opportunity for the programs in the school, art and design, dance, and theatre, to collaborate in creating a program that not only builds community within the school, but allows us to share what we do with our communities and audiences. Over the course of the past year a steering committee of faculty and staff have worked with us to build what we think encapsulates the amount of energy and types of artistic expertise that reside in the School. We want to share what we do “behind the scenes” so audiences get a glimpse to what happens before opening night. If you work at USM, we have planned events that are offered during the lunch hour and in the early evenings. These are ways for you to change up your day at USM with the addition of art and community.
