Canvas

Canvas is the official Learning Management System (LMS) for the University of Southern Mississippi, effective fall 2017. Canvas provides a secure learning environment for delivering fully online courses as well as supplementing face-to-face classes and all faculty have shells created for their classes. Canvas is a robust, user-friendly (and mobile friendly) platform, and we encourage all faculty to explore its feature and usefulness for their classes. Extensive training in use of Canvas is available through the Office of Online Learning, either face-to-face or in a fully online format. To sign up for these trainings or just to learn more about Canvas, please visit our information website: Canvas.  If you have questions, you can contact the Office of Online Learning and they will be happy to provide assistance.

Fully Online Learning

i>Clicker

i>clicker is the student response system supported by USM and it has been shown to increase student engagement, attendance, and performance within the classroom. Faculty can use i>clicker to generate real-time feedback, document teaching, evaluate student knowledge, and provide intervention prior to an exam or assessment.

For individualized help or to sign up for a training session, please contact Mark Ferguson (Mark.Ferguson@usm.edu) or visit the Office of Online Learning-i>Clicker.
