Personal Training Sessions
Before sessions can be purchased, new and returning clients need to visit the FAC office during open FAC office hours to complete an initial consultation. After the initial consultation, the new or returning client will be contacted by their assigned personal trainer no more than 24 hours after the completion of the paperwork. From there, the client and their assigned trainer will discuss session packages and fitness assessments.
If you are a new client and you are not available during any of the open FAC office hours, then please see the tab "request a trainer" to submit a request or call the Graduate Assistant for Fitness and Wellness to schedule an initial consultation outside of open FAC office hours. The Graduate Assistant for Fitness and Wellness' contact information is listed on the right side of the page.
Please note: no sessions can be purchased without the completion of the initial consultation paperwork and the assignment of a personal trainer.
What is a Fitness Assessment?
A Fitness Assessment consists of a series of measurements taken by a personal trainer that determines an individual's baseline fitness level. These measurements will show where an individual's current status is or give a starting point for the following areas of fitness including cardiovascular, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, resting heart rate and blood pressure. The client determines which measurements they want taken and has the right to prematurely conclude a test for any reason. A fitness assessment can be extremely beneficial if you are looking to start a new exercise program or to start working with a personal trainer.
Physicians consent prior to a fitness assessment is required for men over the age of 45, women over the age of 55, or anyone with a pre-existing medical condition.
Please wear exercise clothing to all sessions and assessments. Appropriate clothing includes athletic shoes, sweat pants and shirts, t-shirts, shorts, and/or tights.
If you have a specific question about any of our services, please email email@example.com or stop in to our Fitness Assessment Center (FAC)! Hours can be found on the right hand side of the page.
