Instructor of Trombone and Euphonium at Southeastern Louisiana University (1993 – 1995) 

In March 2001, his research paper entitled, The Impact of Music Education on Academic Achievement, was presented at the National School Boards Association Conference in San Diego, CA as part of an Excellence in Education Forum.



 During his tenure as Principal of Fontainebleau Jr. High, Dr. Schneider has been chosen as a Fellow in the School Leadership Center of Greater New Orleans and served on numerous district-wide committees.

He was named the 2009-10 St. Tammany Middle/Jr Principal of the Year and chosen as a Louisiana Regional Principal of the Year.

In 1995, Dr. Schneider was honored as Bandmaster of the Year by the Louisiana Bandmasters Asoociation and in 2001, he was chosen Teacher of the Year at Northshore High School.
