Advertising

This major teaches students the creative and business practices of the advertising profession. Graduates are prepared for positions as advertising layout artists; copy writers; media planners and account executives in the mass media, advertising agencies, advertising departments in business and industry, and advertising sales for media. Students majoring in advertising are encouraged to get involved the Southern Miss student chapter of the American Advertising Federation.

Students wanting to pursue a major in advertising should stop by College Hall 106 to fill out the required paperwork. At that time, students will be assigned an adviser specific to the major for advisement.
