All master's degree programs require completion of at least 18 semester hours in courses numbered 600 and above, a written comprehensive examination and a minimum GPA of 3.0 for graduation.


Master of Arts in Communication: 
Mass Communication Emphasis (Thesis — 30 hrs)

Substantive core (6 hrs) — MC 607, MC 608
Research Methods (3 hrs) — MC 720 
Choose two (6 hrs) — MC 721, MC 722, MCJ 525, or Statistics 
Electives in Mass Communication (9 hrs)

Master of Science in Communication: Mass Communication Emphasis
 (Non-Thesis — 33 hrs)
