Each fall, the Heart Walk is an event the entire University of Southern Mississippi faculty, staff, and students support. The College of Science and Technology participates by putting together a Heart Walk Team.
Embracing Healthy Competition
Each college at Southern Miss competes to raise funds to fight heart disease and stroke, America’s number one and number four killers.
The University has an overall competition between the deans.
The annual Heart Walk takes place in the fall on the Hattiesburg campus at Spirit Park.
The non-competitive, three-mile walk includes teams of employees from local companies, along with friends and family members of all ages.
