 Student Affairs-GP

Role of Office in Title IX Cases:

In order to support the academic success of students, USM’s Gulf Park Student Affairs Office provides assistance to those who are involved in a Title IX case if their involvement begins to disrupt their academic progress by authenticating documentation provided and providing a written notice to the instructor and the student to allow the instructor, at their discretion, to determine if they will allow the student to make arrangements for make-up tests, etc. related to their Title IX related absence.

Services Provided in Title IX Cases:

  • Authenticating documentation for those involved in Title IX cases
  • Communicating with instructor and student regarding authenticity of documentation

NOTE:   Instructors have the discretion to make a determination of how they will treat the notice received from the Office of Student Ombudsman Services.

To request assistance, please fill out a Notice of Absence form.
