Tim Rehner

Director of School of Social Work

Tim Rehner, PhD joined the faculty at the University of Southern Mississippi in 1993. He presently serves as the director of the School of Social Work. He has a successful track record of more than 50 publications and greater than $35 million in external funding.

He currently serves as PI for the Mississippi Integrated Health and Disaster Program – a project funded through the Medical Settlement following the BP Oil Spill. Since joining USM he has been involved in developing non–traditional delinquency prevention, child welfare, health access, and workforce development initiatives.

His areas of interest include: integrated mental and behavioral health in primary care settings, health access, technology to support social work practice, child welfare, disaster and resilience, workforce development, and political social work.
