Current SAS Students

Information for students currently registered with Student Accessibility Services (SAS) for accommodations:

To schedule an exam to take at the Student Accessibility Services (SAS) office, you must be registered with SAS and have Alternative Testing accommodations.

SAS requires that students schedule exams at least two (2) business days in advance. This is to ensure testing space and exam availability.

  • HATTIESBURG STUDENTS

Students can SCHEDULE EXAMS ONLINE. You can login using your USM credentials and navigate to "Alternative Testing" on the left-side menu to complete the Alternative Testing Request Form. Please see our Test Scheduling Guide (PDF) for step-by-step instructions with screenshots. If you need assistance scheduling an exam, please contact Student Accessibility Services (SAS) directly at 601.266.5024 or sasFREEMississippi

Exams scheduled with SAS are to be proctored at the SAS Offices in Bond Hall room 114. Our offices are open Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, excluding university holidays.

Exams during the semester may be scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm. No exams may be scheduled later than 2:30 pm to ensure that students get the full use of their testing accommodations. Exams must be turned in at 5:00 pm. Final Exams may be taken from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm.

Students that test with Student Accessibility Services should be prepared to follow our Test Proctoring Procedures for Students (PDF).
  • GULF PARK STUDENTS

Students can SCHEDULE EXAMS ONLINE through the Gulf Park Library Proctoring Services. Exams are given through appointment only.

Exams scheduled through online are to be proctored at the Gulf Coast Testing Center Room in room 210 of the Gulf Coast Library. The Gulf Park Library Testing Services is open by appointment.

Normally, students pay for exam proctoring at the Gulf Park Library Testing Services; SAS students are not billed for exam proctoring as long as the exam is for a USM academic course they are registered for

SAS students must be fully registered with Alternative Testing Accommodations before exams can be scheduled through the Gulf Park Library Testing Services for free. If a student schedules an exam less than four (4) business days in advance, then a late fee of $30 is billed to them from the Gulf Park Library Testing Center.
