The Vice President for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Strategic Initiatives is responsible to the President for providing collaborative, strategic, and result-oriented leadership for institution-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

Director, Office of Inclusion and Cultural Engagement
The director of the Office of Inclusion and Cultural Engagement is responsible for the development and provision of programs and services, which foster success, satisfaction and enhancement of the university experience. Particular emphasis placed on the implementation of a university-wide strategy designed to increase the matriculation, support, retention, and ultimate graduation of students designated as under-represented, enrolled at The University of Southern Mississippi. Additionally, the director will develop and provide programs and services that will support and enhance the academic, social, emotional, and overall success of students designated as under-represented as well as the entire University of Southern Mississippi’s student body.

Executive Director of Housing and Residence Life
The Executive Director of Housing and Residence Life is a senior level administrator within the division of Student Affairs and serves as the senior housing officer at the University. The Director provides leadership, vision, and guidance for the overall planning, development and implementation of programs, services and facilities with an emphasis on student development, retention, and satisfaction. This position works within the parameters of sound fiscal management, developing programmatic and facility initiatives to enhance the student residential experience. The director oversees and/or collaborates on all aspects of residential facility operations, including but not limited to construction and renovation of residence halls, capital improvements, routine maintenance and housekeeping, technology improvements, renovation projects and capital improvements, property control and inventorying, and the delivery of residential services. Facilities currently include fourteen residence halls, ten sorority houses, nine fraternity houses, and six apartment buildings.
