Friday Night at the Fountain - Aug. 30, 2013

Friday Night at the Fountain is a traditional pep rally and concert that takes place the day before home football games on the University's Centennial Green (map).

It is free and open to the campus and Hattiesburg community. Bring a chair or blanket, and join us.

7 p.m. - Pep Rally begins

Football Coach Monken and two players, Alan Howze and Bruce Johnson, will speak at the start of the pep rally. Also attending:

  • Cheerleaders
  • Mascot  Seymour
  • Dixie Darlings and Southern Misses dance teams
  • The Pride marching band
  • Women's basketball and women's soccer teams

The Legacy, the student alumni association, will also hold its annual T-Shirt Burn, disposing of shirts from other universities that students have traded the past week for Southern Miss shirts.

7:30 p.m. - Concert begins

  • High Def Band
