The Department of Residence Life at Southern Miss offers a safe place for students to live and have fun. With 24 residence halls housing more than 3,000 students, living on campus is convenient and is a great way to get involved! 

The Freshman Quad


The Freshman Quad, includes Wilber Hall, houses freshman students on campus. It is right next to M.M. Roberts Stadium and is also home to A Stone’s Throw, which serves standard freshman cuisine—pizza, burgers, fries, snacks and more!

Century Park North 

Located near M.M. Roberts Stadium and the Longleaf Trace Gateway, Century Park is a gated, living-learning community that provides scholars with an attractive, modern housing opportunity. An environmentally certified residence hall complex, Century Park offers residents a variety of amenities including high-speed Internet and laundry facilities that text you when your clothes are ready!

Century Park South

The school's second environmentally certified residence complex opened in spring 2015, and it includes Luckyday Citizenship Hall, Vann Hall and Scott Hall. The state-of-the art residence halls provide 954 beds for freshmen and other scholarship students. The complex also includes the Moffitt Health Center, an accredited full service primary care clinic.

Upper-Class Housing

Upperclassmen have a variety of housing options to choose from that provide a quiet and convenient place to live and learn. Upper-class residence halls include dorms such as Hillcrest, with its own dining facility—Real Food on Campus; McCarty Hall—named for one of Southern Miss’ most famous benefactors, Oseola McCarty.

Residence Hall Association

The Residence Hall Association is a great way to get involved on campus…right where you live! RHA sponsors activities and events in your residence hall and gives you the opportunity to become a part of the campus community and create your own unique campus living experience.  

Fraternity and Sorority Housing

Upper-class men and women who are members of Greek organizations live in fraternity and sorority housing on campus. Greek housing includes 20 chapter houses for fraternities on Fraternity Row and sorority houses in The Village, Southern Miss’ newest gated Greek community.
