Withdrawal Process

If you choose to withdraw from a program, the Office of Study Abroad should be notified in writing. Please send notification by email to studyabroad@usm.edu. In addition, log in to your online study abroad application and officially withdraw from your program of choice.

Withdrawal Policy

Except in cases of academic ineligibility or course cancellation, program deposits are non-refundable. Once you have applied to a particular program, paid your deposit, and been accepted to participate, the Office of Study Abroad will begin paying fees on your behalf.  If you withdraw from a program after the withdrawal deadline, you will be billed for all unrecoverable costs paid on your behalf such as for housing, transportation, and excursions.
