John Keisling

Visiting Assistant Professor and Technical Director

John Keisling began studying theater in 2000 at Grayson County College, prior to transferring and receiving a B.A. in Theater Arts from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee Oklahoma.  Upon completion of his Bachelor’s degree, John worked as a scenic technician for Arena Stage in Washington D.C. and as The Scene Shop Foreman for The Olney Theater in the D.C. area and as the Scenery Supervisor for The University of Iowa.  In 2011 John returned to school to pursue a Master’s Degree, graduating with an M.F.A. in Technical Theater Production from Florida State University in 2014.

Upon completion of his Master’s Degree John worked for Tait Towers in Lancaster, PA where he served as a Mechanical Designer designing shows for the entertainment industry.  Highlights of John’s credits with Tait include AC/DC’s Rock or Bust Tour, Taylor Swifts 1989 World Tour, Maroon 5’s V Tour, U2’s Innocence and Experience Tour, Beyonce’s Formation World Tour, and many others.

John is now serving as the Visiting Faculty Technical Director where he teaches courses in stagecraft, Computer Aided Drafting and other scenic related studies. John also serves as the Technical Director for each of the Departments main stage productions.

John is also a proud husband and father of four beautiful children.
