COVID-19 and Your Scholarship

Scholarships Impacted by Spring 2020 Grade Options

The Office of Undergraduate Scholarships has reviewed spring grades as outlined in a student’s stipulation agreement.  During this time, the University would like to provide students with a small grace period to allow for grade adjustments through May 27.  Once these grades are processed, OUS staff will conduct a second review and notify students regarding the status of their scholarship for the upcoming fall semester. This second review will look at cumulative GPA. Students will receive a letter (via their home address in SOAR) if a scholarship is placed on probation or is cancelled for the upcoming semester.

Resources for you regarding grade options for Spring 2020:

Excerpts and Resources from the Office of the Registrar that may be helpful for your scholarship concerns:

  • “Students will not earn quality points and GPA will not be impacted by the Z, P, or NP grades.” Therefore, if you change your grade officially in SOAR and your cumulative is a 3.0 or higher, your scholarship will not be cancelled.

If your scholarship is cancelled, students are able to submit an appeal with the Office of Undergraduate Scholarships.  Please review resources regarding University Scholarship Appeals process:
