Special Events

Special events provide a unique opportunity to showcase the University in its best light. From prospective students to potential donors, every event should enhance the public image of The University of Southern Mississippi. The Office of University Communications can provide event planning resources and hands-on involvement for select high-profile ceremonies and celebrations.

When involved, University Communications can offer guidance and assistance in the following areas:

  • Maintain Southern Miss’ positive brand image
  • Assist University entities in avoiding conflicts when scheduling events
  • Help the Office of the President in maximizing event appearance opportunities
  • Maximize University resources
