The university Style Guide has been developed to assist Southern Miss communicators in developing materials that present a strong, consistent message about Southern Miss and promote our image in a positive and comprehensive way. This unified voice gives us strength and clarity and helps us to uphold the integrity of the Southern Miss brand.

Communications materials representing the university should be approved through University Communications and will be reviewed according to the guidelines presented in both the Graphic Standards and Style Guide.
Approval from University Communications is required by Procurement Services in order to process payment for any printed materials, advertising or promotional items being paid for with university funds. If your communications materials require approval, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
USM Mailout & Info Center
The Web content producer will receive your requests for announcements to be included in the USM Mailout and Info Center, an online service for internal communications that includes an archive for announcements and other features for the campus community.
These announcements are then edited and posted to Info Center in the Campus Updates section; and they are compiled and prioritized for inclusion in the mailout.
