Learn more about the remarkable array of research, scholarship and creative activities conducted by faculty, staff and students at Research Day on Friday, November 6th, 2026 at the Marine Education Center in Ocean Springs, MS.
We're using a new, engagement-based format built around the theme Legacies and Trajectories, exploring what inspired researchers to take on their challenges, how their disciplines shape their work, and what other perspectives could push the research further. The morning will begin with an opening panel, which will set the tone for the day around this year's theme, reflecting where disciplines have come from, how transdisciplinary work has shaped them, and where they are headed.
The afternoon will conclude with a Research Showcase (1–2:30 p.m.), open to all faculty and staff researchers interested in hosting a demo, exhibit, or tour to highlight their research. Space is limited, so we encourage early registration. Those who submit to present in the Research Showcase will be notified of their acceptance by October 23rd.
