Writing Center Appointments

Writing Center sessions are scheduled for 45 minutes and begin on the hour. We do accept walk-ins. However, we often book up a week in advance and strongly encourage clients to make an appointment ahead of time.

To make an appointment, go to the Writing Center scheduler.  If you have never set up an account, create an account by clicking on “Click here to register.”  Next, find the date/time for your desired appointment and click on that box. You will now need to fill out information for your appointment.

Plan to meet for 45 minutes. Even if you don’t think you’ll need that much time, you should give yourself the entire session since you may need more time than you think. Keep in mind that it’s better to have too much time than not enough!

Be on time.  You'll want to take advantage of the full session.  The Writing Center will hold your appointment for 10 minutes; after that time, the session will be made available for other students coming as walk-ins.

Bring related materials such as the writing assignment guidelines from the instructor and the course syllabus. If you have other materials, such as an outline or a draft, bring those as well.
