SFC David Barberet

Army ROTC MSIII Instructor

SFC Barberet is a native of New Hartford, Connecticut.  He joined the Army in June 1999, where he attended 11B OSUT at Fort Benning, Georgia.  SFC Barberet’s duty positions and assignments include:  Rifleman 1st Battalion 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg North Carolina; Automatic Rifleman 1st Battalion 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg North Carolina; Rifle Team Leader 1st Battalion 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg North Carolina;  Rifle Team Leader 2nd Battalion (Airborne) 503rd Infantry, 173rd Airborne Brigade, Vicenza Italy; Squad Leader 2nd Battalion (Airborne), 503rd Infantry, 173rd Airborne Brigade, Vicenza Italy; Command Group Operations Sergeant 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team; Platoon Sergeant 2nd Battalion 503rd Infantry, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team. He is currently serving as a Military Science Instructor at the University of Southern Mississippi in the ROTC Program. Overseas assignments include OEF II (2002-2003) F.O.B. Salerno, Afghanistan, OIF I (2003-2004) Kirkuk, Iraq, OEF VI (2005-2006) Deh Chopan, Afghanistan, OEF VIII (2007-2008) Korengal Valley, Afghanistan. 

SFC Barberet’s military schools and training include: Airborne School; Combat Lifesaver’s Course; Warrior Leaders Course; Advanced Leaders Course, Modern Army Combative (Levels 1-3); Equal Opportunity Leaders Course; and the Maneuver Senior Leaders Course.
