The BSLC is also an introductory biology laboratory for undergraduate non-science majors here at Southern Miss. During the course of the semester, students complete numerous labs on a diverse array of topics. In their labs, students learn about cell replication, adaptations in plants and animals, ethics in science, and about how and why science should be important to them. All of these labs take place in the BSLC, so every year literally hundreds of college students are regularly present in the BSLC. This makes our accessibility, exhibits, and the biological information we offer very important. We want to stimulate minds and provide important guidance for anyone’s interest in biology.
