1. Marine Biology in Jamaica!

Enroll in Caribbean Marine Biology (BSC 404/504&L) during the 2010 Winter Intercession and study marine biology in Jamaica as part of the Caribbean Studies Program (CSP). This course is not just for Marine Biology or Biological Sciences majors – the only prerequisites are Introductory Biological Sciences I and II OR permission of the instructor. 5. Beta Beta Beta Golden Eagle Fundraiser

Win a football autographed by Golden Eagle players! Front of the Library 1:00 PM October 19 – 24, and at the College’s Hospitality Corner on game day, Saturday October 24th. Funds support the organization and the March of Dimes. Tri-Beta is the national society for undergraduate students dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research. |

Frederick W. Stoss, University at Buffalo-SUNY, will present a talk entitled ”Sustainable and Green @ Your Library”, Thursday, October 22, noon-1:30 PM in the Thad Cochran Center as part of the Mississippi Library Assocation annual conference. The theme for this year’s conference is Eco-Friendly Libraries: Green for the New Century. |
7. Degree Application

The deadline to apply for Spring 2010 graduation is November 6, 2009. Effective October 1, 2009, you will be assessed a $50 late fee for filing for graduation after the deadline. Start the process now! Access the degree application on the Registrar’s page (www.usm.edu/registrar), fill out the form, then make an appointment to meet Dessarai Brackman, the Degree Auditor for the College (TEC 102: 601.266.4883) and your advisor. |
