Policy Statement


Appropriate behavior and conduct between roommates is expected.

 


Reason for Policy/Purpose


This policy is required for the effective communication of university policy regarding behavior and conduct toward roommates.

All students of The University of Southern Mississippi community living on campus.

Policy/Procedures


Behavior that attempts to force a roommate out of the assigned room, discriminates against a current roommate or newly assigned occupant, or compromises the health or safety of a roommate may result in reassigning one or both of the occupants. The resident responsible for the behavior may have to move or pay additional charges for any unoccupied space and may be judicially mandated to have a private room.

 


Review


The Director of Student Housing Administration is responsible for the review of this policy every four years (or whenever circumstances require immediate review).
