Policy Statement


Residents at family and special interest housing are asked to help maintain clean and orderly grounds and breezeways.

 


Reason for Policy/Purpose


This policy is required for the effective communication of university policy regarding breezeways and grounds at family and special interest housing.

Who Needs to Know This Policy


All students of The University of Southern Mississippi community living in family and special interest housing.

Policy/Procedures


It is the desire of the university to keep Pine Haven Family Housing and Cedarbrook II in a high state of maintenance and cleanliness. This can be accomplished only with the cooperation of all residents. Residents are responsible for keeping breezeways clean and uncluttered. Listed below are some guidelines:

 

  1. Plants (in moderation), patio furniture, barbecue grill and accessories will be allowed.
  2. Residents may not hang mops, rugs, dust cloths, laundry, etc., from windows or railings or place them outside their apartments. Garbage cans are not allowed in breezeways.
  3. Chalk drawings are not allowed on the concrete or brick.

 


Review


The Director of Student Housing Administration is responsible for the review of this policy every four years (or whenever circumstances require immediate review).
