CHILD SUPERVISION POLICY
Students with children in family and special interest housing are responsible for the supervision of those children at all times.
Reason for Policy/Purpose
This policy is required for the effective communication of university policy regarding child supervision at family and special interest housing.

All students of The University of Southern Mississippi community living in family and special interest housing.

The university provides no supervisory personnel for children in the apartment complex, and the resident is responsible at all times for the supervision of their children. Children are not allowed to play in the laundry room. All juveniles shall be prohibited outside residences from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., unless accompanied by parents. Parents will be held accountable for damages or inappropriate actions by their children. Cases of neglect, abuse and other problems involving children will be referred to the University Police, the Forrest County Welfare Department or other appropriate resources.
The Director of Student Housing Administration is responsible for the review of this policy every four years (or whenever circumstances require immediate review).
