The HR Partners are assigned to schools/units to serve as the primary HR representative providing a “one-stop shop” for leaders on any and all HR needs: Answer questions, post jobs, provide policy clarification, explain processes, provide tools and resources, and assist with decision making for hiring, performance management, discipline and other employment issues.

Consultant: HR Partners have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the policies and practices of the institution. They can provide pragmatic advice and solutions and help translate operational needs into HR solutions.

Change Leader/Strategist: HR Partners contribute in a way that anticipates and shapes direction, rather than reacting to issues as they arise. The HR Partner is intended to be anticipatory in support of the future direction of the institution. 

Thought Leader: This is achieved by being credible, respected professionals who are able to positively influence business direction, which translates into positive business outcomes.
