Bio

Ms. Laura Achter is a LMSW, who has worked in the child welfare and mental health care field for over 25 years. She attained her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern Mississippi. Miss Achters’ experience includes work in the public sector and private sectors within child welfare. She is currently a Visiting Instructor with the School of Social Work at USM. She has previously been an Adjunct Instructor as well as a Field Instructor with the School of Social Work at USM.

Miss Achter has a passion for child welfare and teaching.
