Bio
I am the most senior member of the political science program and the only woman once again. I graduated high school from Ocean Springs High School in 1976. I attende Auburn University to become an engineer but graduated in 1980 with a BS in Public Administration. I continued that path with a Master of Public Policy and Administration from Mississippi State University in 1983. During that time, I held an internship at Mississippi Educational Television (now MPB) which convinced me I did not want to be a bureaucrat. I then attended the University of Utah where I completed my Ph.D. in Political Science with an emphasis in Public Law in 1988. My first teaching year was at Memphis State University, followed by a year at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. I came to USM in 1989. Since then I have became the campus trouble maker, a job I relish. I am currently working on an M.Litt in Archaeological Studies at the University of the Highlands and Islands in Scotland.
