Mrs. Toni Anderson



Toni has worked in higher education 27+ years in Student Affairs and Academia. She is a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LPC) and has experience working in both Clinical Mental Health and Student Counseling Services. Toni began her professional career at Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources as the County Coordinator for Jefferson Davis County focusing on psychopathology and psychopharmacology.

In 1994 she returned to Southern Miss working in Student Counseling Services (Student Affairs) and an adjunct instructor in the Division of Undergraduate Studies. Her career has evolved to an instructor in the School of Interdisciplinary Studies and Professional Development teaching a wide range of courses, student advising and career exploration.

Toni has been the faculty advisor of Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society for freshmen students with a 3.5 grade point average or higher since 1998.
