Amber Hatten
Professor of Practice
Bio
Amber Hatten is a Professor of Practice in the School of Accountancy. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is a member of the AICPA and the MSCPA. She earned both her Master of Professional Accountancy (MPA) and BSBA-Accounting degrees from Southern Miss, and she has also obtained Professionally Qualified (PQ) faculty certification through the AACSB Bridge Program at the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University.
Prior to joining the USM faculty, Ms. Hatten was employed by KPMG LLP in its Jackson, Mississippi office, where she served as a Senior Manager in the Audit practice. While at KPMG, she was recognized for outstanding contributions in leadership and service and participated as a National Instructor with the firm's Assurance Learning and Development training programs. She served audit clients throughout Mississippi and across the southeastern United States, focusing on healthcare, not-for-profit, and governmental organizations.
