Dr. Melissa Ziegler

Assistant Teaching Professor

Bio

Dr. Melissa Ziegler is the Associate Director of the Center for Faculty Development and an Assistant Teaching Professor in Kinesiotherapy. She has served on the USM faculty since 2006 and is dedicated to advancing teaching excellence, faculty development, and student success. She designs and facilitates professional development on evidence-based teaching, educational technology, and generative AI in higher education while teaching undergraduate courses in health coaching and rehabilitation. Dr. Ziegler is an ACUE Distinguished Teaching Scholar, a Fellow of the Medical Fitness Association, and a Commissioner for the American Kinesiotherapy Association on CAAHEP.
