Dr. Michong Rayborn

Bio
Michong Rayborn is an associate professor in the Nurse Anesthesia Program in the College of Nursing and Health Professions at The University of Southern Mississippi, where she also serves as the simulation director. She earned her Master of Science with an emphasis in nurse anesthesia from the University of Kansas and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Northeastern University in Boston. As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, she works as an independent contractor at Forrest General Hospital, providing locum tenens anesthesia service and clinical preceptor for nurse anesthetists students. She serves on Merit Health Wesley’s Ethics and Institutional Review Board Committee. She is actively involved in the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and serves on several committees. Her academic interests include international nursing with emphasis on the impact of culture on global nurse anesthesia practice and simulation education .
