Dr. Michelle Brazeal

Assistant Professor

Bio

Dr. Brazeal’s research interests include the intersection between health and mental health, the impact of social worker services in healthcare, and the effects of the social determinants of health on overall well-being. She has worked on publications that explore relationship issues and child advocacy. She has co-authored a book chapter on juvenile detention and has entries in the Social Work encyclopedia on obsessive-compulsive disorders and the relationship between compulsions, impulse control disorders, and addictions. She is also interested in exploring pedagogy in higher education and ways to utilize technology to improve learning.
