Dr. Bridgette Davis

Assistant Teaching Professor


Dr. Davis is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Education in the School of Education. Dr. Davis is a Mississippi native with extensive travel experience as a military daughter and wife. Growing up as a military dependent provided her with a dynamic K-12 educational experience including attending the Taipei American School, Department of Defense Education Activity Schools (DoDEA), and public schools across the United States. She received her Bachelor's degree in secondary biology and chemistry education and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Southeastern Louisiana University. After teaching science in the secondary school setting, she joined the faculty at Southeastern Louisiana University as an instructor for elementary science education and the director of the New Teacher Development program.

In 2010, Dr. Davis earned her Ph.D. from the University of Southern Mississippi in Education (K-12 Reading, Science).
