Bio

Dr. Rabab Abdelfattah (Senior Member, IEEE) received her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on advances in computer vision, from the University of South Carolina, SC, USA, in 2023. She is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Southern Mississippi, MS, USA. Her work is published in some of the most prestigious journals and conferences in computer vision and IoT, including IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, and leading venues such as ICCV, ACCV and BMVC. She also serves as a reviewer for multiple high-impact journals and conferences and holds leadership roles within the IEEE WIE community. Her research centers on AI-enabled real-world applications and LLM-guided frameworks in image-based systems, complemented by her commitment to academic development through teaching and service.
