Dr. Matthew Sargent

Bio
Dr. Sargent holds a Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) from the University of Dallas, with a research focus on critical thinking and cognitive development within accounting education. He also holds a Master of Accounting (M.Acc) from Drake University and a B.S. in Information Technology.
He has published research articles on critical thinking, data analytics, and organizational agility in peer-reviewed journals and presented multiple papers on these topics, as well as organizational development and fraud, at national and regional conferences.
He has over 25 years of business operations, leadership, and technical experience, as well as an extensive background and certifications in regulatory compliance, auditing, information security, and risk management. He has also served as the Vice President of Certifications for the North Texas Chapter of ISACA and as director of academic relations on the Board of Directors for the Dallas Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
