Bio

Daniel Hall is the Technical Director/Assistant Professor of Technical Direction. He received his MFA in Theater with a focus in Technical Direction from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2023. Awards include: First place in the Technical Direction Design Competition at the South Eastern Theatre Conference for his work on Romeo and Juliet. The Excellence in Technical Direction award by KCACTF for his work on Sylvia. The KCACTF Meritorious Achievement in Technical Direction for Dontrell, Who Kissed The Sea.

Daniel works professionally as deck crew with multiple artists such as Bon Jovi, Yung Gravy, Waka Flocka Flame, Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen. He has also worked as deck/fly crew for multiple touring Broadway productions such as Wicked, The Lion King, Phantom of the Opera, and The Book of Mormon. In addition to his theatrical and teaching work, Daniel is an avid martial artist, holding a black belt in Youn Wha Ryu as well as an active HEMA & MMA practitioner.
