Bio

Dr. Lukens' research focuses on college to career transitions, primarily Senior-Year Transition experiences of college students. Her work investigates the role of higher education institutions in preparing college students for their lives and careers after graduation in a dynamic and shifting job market. She also explores the ways in which college to career transitions are nuanced by gender and identity.

Dr. Lukens earned a B.S. from Rhodes College and a M.Ed. (Higher Education Administration) and a Ph.D. (Educational Administration, Higher Education) from the University of New Orleans.
