Bio

Dr. Kari S. Murphy is an Assistant Professor of Educational Research and Administration at The University of Southern Mississippi. She earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Auburn University, an M.Ed. in Social Studies Education from the University of Georgia, and a B.A. in History from the University of North Georgia. Before entering higher education, she served for nearly a decade in K–12 education in instructional, athletic, and administrative leadership roles. Her research examines teacher workload, burnout, educator retention, and education policy, with a particular interest in the organizational and policy factors that influence educators' work and workforce sustainability.
