A variety of policies and procedures govern how matters are handled at The University of Southern Mississippi.

 

The University of Southern Mississippi's policies and procedures are based on federal, state, and local law.

• Laws establish the legal requirements the University must follow.
• Policies set forth how the University meets those requirements.
• Procedures detail the specific steps used to carry out each policy.

Together, these three components ensure that University operations comply with the law.
