USM Student Government Association Leaders Chosen for 2022-23

The executive leadership team for The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) Student Government Association (SGA) for 2022-23 was recently chosen during elections held on the Hattiesburg campus.

The new SGA executive officers include the following:

*President – Ashley Lankford, a junior communication studies major from Satsuma, Alabama and the daughter of Valenda and Dewayne Lankford. At USM she is a member of Chi Omega Sorority, National Society for Leadership and Success, Lambda Pi Eta, Lambda Sigma, Honors College, Eagle Connection, Honors College Leadership Council, and HCLC First Year Mentors.

*Senior Vice President – Christopher “CJ” Lee, a junior criminal justice major and forensics science minor from Madison, Mississippi and the son of Walter and Connie Lee. At USM, he is a member of the Student Alumni Association, Student Eagle Club, Economics Club, The National Society of Leadership and Success, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, the Economics Club, and is a CJFSS Student Ambassador.

*Vice President of Judicial Affairs – Caroline Genius, a junior forensic science major with minors in criminal justice and biological sciences from Luling, Louisiana, and the daughter of Bryn and Michael Genius. At USM, she is a member of the Forensic Science Society, Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women, Southern Style 2022 Orientation Leader, Delta Delta Epsilon Forensic Honor Society, National Society for Leadership and Success, Student Conduct Committee Hearing Panelist, Textbook and Materials Advisory Committee, Police Chief Advisory Council, and the Order of Omega Honor Society

*Vice President of Finance & Administration – Patterson White, a junior biological sciences major from Birmingham, Alabama and the son of Ginna and Seth White. At USM, he is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, Campus Outreach, and the Pre-Dental Club.

*Vice President of Communications – Angel Walker, a junior biological sciences (biomedical sciences) major with minors in chemistry and psychology from Hattiesburg and the daughter of Anecia and Alvin Walker. At USM, she is a member of the Minority Association of Pre-medical Students, Students for Human Rights, Afro-American Student Organization, Honors College Leadership Council, Honors College, and the Luckyday Citizenship Scholars Program.
