The Professional Sales Program at The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) has been accepted as an Associate Member of the University Sales Center Alliance. The USCA is a consortium of sales educators who are dedicated to advancing the sales profession through teaching, research, and outreach.

The USCA consists of nearly 70 universities from the U.S. and Europe dedicated to preparing students for success in professional sales roles.

"We are thrilled for Southern Miss to join the University Sales Center Alliance as an Associate Member. This partnership will provide our students in the Professional Sales Program with professional development resources and tremendous networking opportunities, helping prepare them for successful careers in sales,” said Kevin Buckley, Professor of Practice in the School of Marketing at USM.

Added Buckley, “As educators, we have a responsibility to equip students with the skills, experiences, and connections that will set them up for success after graduation. This alliance moves us toward that goal."

USCA sales centers offer students an unmatched combination of specialized sales courses, mentors, internships, and other forms of actual sales experience to help students learn, develop, and sharpen their sales skills. Students successfully completing these programs have shorter ramp-up times and out-produce those without this sort of specialized preparation.

Dr. Scott Inks, USCA President, notes, “The level of student engagement that USCA Member schools provide their students ensures that those students are learning more than just content. Our USCA certification signals that a sales program is providing a much richer educational and developmental experience.”
