The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) School of Leadership will host the fourth annual Southern Miss Cruisin’ on Monday, Oct. 6, from 3 to 5 p.m. on the Gulf Park Campus South Lawn in Long Beach.

The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring their vehicles and lawn chairs for this celebration of community and car culture.

Dr. Bradley Winton, assistant professor within the School of Leadership and event coordinator, said he looks forward to Cruisin’ every fall.

“In just a few short years, the event has turned into a highlight of the fall. Between the great cars, their drivers, USM faculty and staff, and our growing list of friends of Southern Miss, Southern Miss Cruisin' has become a special part of the Cruisin' week,” said Winton.

Dr. Jacob Breland, director of the School of Leadership, emphasized the event’s role in fostering connection and community impact.

“Southern Miss Cruisin’ is more than showcasing classic cars; it’s a celebration of connection—bringing together students, faculty, alumni and neighbors,” said Breland. “It strengthens community bonds, highlights the vitality of our Blue Economy, and underscores our role as a partner in leadership and shared experiences.”

No registration is required. Owners of classic or antique cars may park on the South Lawn at the front of campus, while general parking will be available in the Lloyd Hall lot.
