Marcus White Named Executive Director of Dining Services at Southern Miss

Eagle Dining at The University of Southern Mississippi is pleased to announce the promotion of
Marcus White to executive director of dining services.
With more than 25 years of hospitality and dining services leadership experience,
White has built an impressive career through a variety of leadership roles at Southern
Miss. Most recently, he served as director of operations for Eagle Dining, where he
played a key role in supporting daily operations, developing team members and enhancing
the overall guest experience across campus dining locations.
“Marcus has consistently demonstrated a passion for serving the Southern Miss community
while building strong teams and maintaining high operational standards," said Todd
Robison, vice president of Aramark Collegiate Hospitality, South Region. "His dedication,
leadership and deep understanding of our operation make him exceptionally well-suited
for this role. We are excited to see his continued impact as executive director.”
Throughout his career, White has demonstrated a strong commitment to operational excellence,
employee development and delivering exceptional service. His leadership has contributed
significantly to the continued success and growth of the University's dining program.
“Marcus understands the unique culture of Southern Miss and consistently goes above
and beyond to enhance the student experience,” stated Jacob Cochran, director of procurement,
contract and auxiliary services at Southern Miss. “We are excited to see him take
on this expanded leadership role and continue driving excellence throughout our dining
program."
Outside of work, White enjoys spending time outdoors, especially fishing and enjoying
nature. He is an avid automotive enthusiast who enjoys buying, selling and trading
vehicles, attending car shows, and taking his Slingshot out for a drive whenever possible.
He also values time spent grilling and creating memories with family and friends.
A dedicated community leader, White serves on several local boards and is an active
member of both the Freemasons and Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc.
