Freshman Designation-based Scholarships
freshman designation-based scholarship
Designation-Based Scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen who have earned specific honors, leadership roles, or distinctions during high school. These scholarships recognize students for going above and beyond—whether through service, achievement, or leadership
Documentation is required to verify your eligibility. You must also meet the admission and documentation deadlines to be considered.
All designation-based awards must be applied for and accepted in the GO System.
These awards are designated for high school seniors who achieve these academic and community achievements prior to attending the University; therefore official documentation of status from high school counselor and/or authorized state organization is required to be attached to the online application in the GO System.
These scholarships can stack with each other and other freshman scholarship offers.
Scholarship automatically renews if the student maintains a 2.5 USM cumulative GPA and 15 USM credit hours each fall and spring semester. Failure to meet these stipulations results in immediate cancellation of the scholarship.
