Families First for Mississippi

The University of Southern Mississippi Trent Lott National Center lead a strategic planning process for the Families First of Mississippi. In 2017, Families First began expanding its service delivery strategy to align with the Mississippi Department of Human Service’s Gen+ Approach—a multi-generational, collaborative approach. This strategic plan serves as a guide to fulfill Families First’s mission of “impacting the whole family” transitioning from an old model of serving the individual client to a model focused on serving the whole family, from infancy to senior adults. The plan defines overarching goals and supporting tactics for the next five years designed to fulfill mandates, meet stakeholder expectations, and create public value for years to come.
